Thai Monk being fitted for a Bullet Proof Vest

This picture pretty well sums it up for the state of affairs in the deep south of Thailand. This Thai monk wearing the saffron robes is being fitted with a matching bullet-proof vest. The sad fact is that the insurgents in these southern provinces have been targeting Buddhist monks and a number of monks have already been killed. Many have already fled their temples and others too scared to go out on alms rounds.
