Lumpinee Boxing Stadium Moving to Ram Intra Road

In the Bangkok Post today there was this photo of Thai army chief Prayuth together with the executive director of the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. They are pictured here with Brahman priests at the foundation laying ceremony for the new stadium. Apparently the boxing stadium will be moving to the Royal Thai Army Sports Centre on Ram Intra Road. No news about when this move will taken place. I will let you know if I hear anything. The old place has been around since the 1950’s. On Twitter, @ThaiCam reminded me that the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun has some great scenes from this area that date back to the 1970’s.
