Ancient Ring Pull Found at 7-Eleven in Thailand

I had to do a double take when I went to open this can of drink that I bought at 7-Eleven. It is the old fashioned type that you pull right off. I wasn’t sure what to do with the ring pull. How many years ago did Coke and Pepsi change to the new style which stays on the can? Hopefully this wasn’t old stock!
